the LIFESTYLE workshop- Illinois Photography Workshop

In June, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to teach a lifestyle photography workshop with one of my best photographer friends, Erin, of Erin Nisi photography.  We started the day at Erin's house, enjoying some breakfast and talking shop.  Then, together with three other local photographers, we traveled to two different homes and showed them our workflow and light posing with both a newborn and a simple family shoot.  One home was low light, forcing us to really push our camera skills, while the other house had great light, making shooting easy.  In between shoots, we took a break for lunch and talked a little more about business, policies, bookings, marketing to your target client, etc.  We ended the day with an editing demonstration at Erin's house. I loved my time with these ladies so much! Below are images from our two model family sessions.
