One of the changes I have implemented to SKP in 2014 is offering both lifestyle as well as studio newborn shoots. Studio newborn shoots are the standard newborn shoot, with pictures of baby in wraps and baskets, with hats on etc. Studio shoots are very posed and require baby to be asleep for most of the shoot.
Lifestyle shoots on the other hand, are shot in the client's home with their natural surroundings as the backdrop. They are images of family time on the couch or in the nursery or on the family bed. Images are taken of baby alone, as well as sibling, parent and full family shots. These types of sessions are my favorite, because they are relaxed and "real."
Below is a little glimpse of what it was like bringing home baby for this family.
