I don't even know where to begin with this family. Erin is the amazing photographer behind the lens at Erin Nisi Photography. She is so incredibly talented and sweet and lucky for me, she is one of my closest friends. Erin and I met a few years ago and hit it off right away. We have traveled to Indiana and Colorado together for photography workshops, as well as shot a wedding together. There is just something about her that is so special and I am so happy she walked into my life when she did. We have both needed each other to lean on at times and it is awesome just having her a few miles down the road. Just last week we went out for ice cream together and talked for three hours. If she didn't have to get up to go to work the next morning, I am pretty sure we could have talked for another three hours without any problem!
Erin's family is just as incredible as she is. Her has been blessed with three gorgeous daughter whom I love to shoot. These girls are silly and kind as well as talented dancers The day of our shoot was kind of a muggy day and we almost cancelled, but I told Erin I wanted the challenge of shooting in less than ideal lighting conditions and I am so glad we moved ahead with it. Lucky for us, as the shoot went on, the sun came out :-)
My goal for the session was to capture every day life for Erin as well as get images with her *in* them (being a photographer, Erin has the same problem I do-- we are always the ones taking the pictures and never in them ourselves!). Yes, we are a part of our own annual family pictures, but we never get to be a part of the "everyday" pictures, doing everyday things. I love the way this shoot came out, hense the ridiculous amount of images I am going to share.
